US and UK start selling Iraqi oil
Huge American and British oil tankers floated away from Iraq today (24th ), carrying in their bellies the first regular exports of post-war Iraqi oil. The oil no longer belongs to the Iraqi people, it is entirely controlled by the wealthy nations that conquered their land by force. BP and Shell were among the first foreign companies to benefit from resumption of Iraqi oil exports when the country signed its first long-term supply contracts yesterday since the war was declared over.
